Last night, the company was named one of Frederick’s Best Places to Work for 2012-2013, winning in the mid-size business category. I was at the awards ceremony at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center in Frederick along with Dan Caffoe, Chairman, and Karen Buckheit, Director of Topical Microbicide Research and received the award on behalf of ImQuest employees. The Best Places to Work award is now in its tenth year and recognizes companies in Frederick County that offer innovative programs to recruit, train, and retain their most important asset – their staff. The awards are sponsored by the Frederick County Business Development and Retention Division, City of Frederick Department of Economic Development, Frederick County Workforce Services and the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce. and its partner organizations. The criteria for selection included companies that provide an enhanced workplace culture, strong professional development programs, benefits and amenities to provide work and life balance, encouragement of community and social responsibilities and tools for healthy living. In addition to these family friendly criteria, the scoring also included a review of ImQuest’s median annual salary and our rate of voluntary turnover over the past three years. It was a pleasure and great honor to accept this award and in the presence of the Mayor of Frederick, a State Senator, members of the Frederick County Board of County Commissioners, the Aldermen of Frederick City, and many dignitaries from the County and City Economic Development programs, I was able to reflect on ImQuest’s valuable employees, many of whom have been working with me for over a decade, our plans for clinical trials on products to prevent the sexual transmission of HIV, especially to women living around the world, and the development of a transdermal patch for long term drug delivery.

ImQuest is proud to be a member of the Frederick biotechnology community and we look forward to promoting efforts by the County and City to attract more business to this wonderful area. At the same time, ImQuest can re-commit itself to providing the best family-and individual-friendly working environment possible - while working for our many clients in a highly professional and ethical way. We look forward to welcoming you to our family!

ImQuest also congratulates The Law Offices of Scott Allan Morrison, PA, Country Meadows Retiremnt Communities, Plamondon Hospitality Partners and Morgan-Keller Construction on their awards.
